Williamsburg Music Studio and Melanie Crispin are pleased to announce the schedules for summer music camps have been published. Two types of music camps will be available in 2023. Jam Band 101 Camp gives youngsters ages six to nine exposure to various musical instruments. Summer music camp is excellent for kids who want to explore different instruments and learn music by playing group games.
Williamsburg music lessons are available for several instruments, including piano, violin, guitar, drum, and voice. Currently, classes are available online or in person at the studio. The instructors love working with adult musicians. Whether students have previous experience or have never played a note, the instructors love working with adult musicians and can help students reach their music goals. Many students arrive with specific things they wish to accomplish. The instructors want to know what the students hope to get from the lessons. The expert instructors will create a learning experience customized for the student.
Students will have fun making music with other kids. The class sizes are small. Youngsters go to the park every day the weather allows. Kids explore each instrument in a band while writing their own music. There is a small performance on the last day. Jam Band 101 is for students new to music or with little instruction. The immersive experience helps youngsters learn to read music faster than kids who start in weekly classes.

Piano Express Camp is recommended for new piano students or students in beginner books, ages 6-12. The camp encourages students to make music throughout the day in short chunks. Musical games, creative listening, and movement enhance music progress. Class sizes are small so there is lots of time with the teachers. There are breaks for lunches and snacks. Since Domino Sugar Park is nearby, kids are encouraged to get outside as the weather allows. Camp weeks are July 10-14, July 17-21, and July 24-28. Registration is available online.
