The Lazy Dog Cookie Co. was founded in 2001 by Amy Augustine and her three dogs. Amy combined her love for all animals and a simple recipe to create the delicious treats. She first gave the freshly baked peanut butter treats to her friends and coworkers. Their overwhelmingly positive response made her decide to join a local farmers market in York, Pennsylvania. In 2004, getting great feedback at a large pet product tradeshow in Chicago, she realized The Lazy Dog’s potential. Keith, Amy’s husband decided to join her in this venture and after a year, the couple moved into their first production facility in Ballston Spa, New York. Since then, they have continued to create wholesome and viciously delicious treats for dogs.
